Who We Are
Peck & Company is a small multi-disciplinary design shop with a strong focus on branding and identity design and a strong commitment to the people behind those brands. We create tactile brands that speak no matter the medium, industry or platform. We believe in hard work and dedication to process.
It was a great surprise to get an email from MyFonts today telling us that peckandco.com was featured on their Webfont Showcase for our use of Brandon Grotesque. Honored to be mentioned.
MyFonts Webfont Showcase – Peck and Co.
Here’s an excerpt from the post:
Peck and Co by Benji Peck
Typographic loveliness abounds in this site for creative design agency Peck & Co, and webfonts are really only part of the story.Brandon Grotesque is used throughout for headings, text and navigation – but the user is really drawn in by the excellent hand lettered, illustrative calligraphy, the tightly balanced layout and the monochromatic, contrasty color scheme.
In days gone by, a layout like this would have been let down by the requirement to use those standard system fonts; no longer. The success of this design is in part thanks to the way the different graphic and textual elements play off each other by referencing both hand-made craftsmanship and mechanical reproduction.
The Dieline is one of the authorities in packaging design in the industry, so needless to say we were honored to be featured on their site today for the jarcakes project. This was such a fun project to work on, and a small business we believe in, which makes this all the more sweet. See the post here >
To get us started, let me welcome you to the new Peck & Co. Peck & Co. is the new home of B POSITIVE STUDIOS, a creative shop started by Benji Peck… that’s me.
I started B POSITIVE INC. in 2004 with lots of ambition and not a whole lot of idea of what I was doing. But the one thing I did have was some good advice from some great people. Needless to say, I’ve learned a lot over the years. I’ve learned a lot about myself, a lot about business, and most importantly, about the people behind the small businesses with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working.
That brings me to the name change. As B POSITIVE has grown and changed since inception, I have often visited and revisited the idea of a name change. I switched to Peck & Co. because I felt it embodied more of the feeling of why I am in business. We exist to make branding a more personal experience for our clients and for their customers.
WE EXIST TO MAKE BRANDING A MORE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FOR OUR CLIENTS AND FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Personal brands connect. I believe your business is an extension of you, and your brand must reflect that if you want your clients to understand why they should do business with you. In short, what makes your business unique is…you.
So, let’s get started. Take a look around and give us a call. Let’s talk about you.
